Desi Halloween rave with four rooms of music, a sound and lights show and best-dressed prizes, for students over 18.
Nottingham Punjabi Soc are back with their Halloween Mela at The Palais on Monday 26 October, and it's a big one. This is the ninth year running for the night, which they describe as the UK's most popular Desi Halloween extravaganza, and it's sold out every time so far. The music is handled by Desi Beatz, and the whole thing is built around four rooms of music, with the main room, 'The Box', featuring a state-of-the-art sound and lights show that draws more than 2,000 ravers.
It's a student night, so there are a few things to keep in mind before you head down. Entry is restricted to students over 18, and you'll need proof of enrolment or a valid student ID to get in. Fancy dress is welcome, but if that's not your thing, smart casual does the trick. There are best-dressed prizes awarded on the night, so if you've got a costume you've been waiting to wear, this is a good spot for it. The organisers are also running coaches from five universities, with 16 socials confirmed to be heading in.
