Author Hannah Gold signs paperback copies of 'The Lone Husky' at Waterstones Nottingham.
Hannah Gold is coming to Waterstones in Nottingham on Saturday 24 October, starting at 12:00. It's a signing for her latest book, The Lone Husky, so the whole thing is built around her signing paperback copies of the new one.
If you're not familiar with her work, Gold writes heartwarming adventure stories, and The Lone Husky is set in the Arctic. It follows April Wood, who lives there with a polar bear and volunteers for the Polar Race, aided by Blaze, a solitary husky. The book is illustrated by the award-winning Levi Pinfold.
Gold is a multi-award-winning and bestselling author, and The Lone Husky is the newest in a run of titles that includes The Last Bear, The Lost Whale, Finding Bear and Turtle Moon. Together they've picked up several major awards, including the Blue Peter Book Award and the Waterstones Children's Book Prize. Her books have been translated into twenty-eight languages and have sold over a million copies globally. In 2026 she was selected as an official World Book Day author, and she's an ambassador for WDC, a whale and dolphin conservation charity. She lives in Lincolnshire with her husband and her tortoise.
