Half-hour trail where children meet Santa and Mrs Claus, take photos, share Christmas wishes and take home a baby spruce tree.
Woodthorpe Park Plant Shop is hosting its Magical Santa Experience on Saturday 5 December, put on by Nottingham City Council's Parks and Open Spaces team. It's a half-hour session, with six tickets per slot and half an hour to follow the trail, so it's a small group rather than a crowded queue.
Inside, children meet Santa and Mrs Claus, take photos and share their Christmas wishes. Every child goes home with a 'baby spruce tree' — a little piece of the North Pole to keep the Christmas spirit going throughout the year. If you've been before, you can add to your collection and grow your own mini Christmas tree forest.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Nottingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The session runs alongside the plant shop's Christmas Market, and ticket holders get 10% off Christmas plants and planters, though that doesn't include Christmas trees. It's £14 per child; adults don't need a ticket, and children under two go free when accompanying older family members. The plant shop is on Woodthorpe Drive, Nottingham NG5 4HA.
