Exclusive add-on visit to Nottingham Playhouse's Lounge and Bar an hour and a half before a selected performance, with a welcome drink and nibbles.
Nottingham Playhouse has a new way to stretch out your theatre night: the Lounge experience, an optional add-on you can bolt onto any performance you've already booked. It's not a show in itself, so you'll still need your usual theatre tickets to see the main event. Instead, it's a separate booking that lets you arrive early and settle in properly rather than rushing from the car or the bus straight into the auditorium.
Here's how it works. You get access to the venue's private Lounge and Bar an hour and a half before your performance starts, so you're in and comfortable well before the curtain goes up. A dedicated Lounge host welcomes you, and you'll start with a welcome drink and some nibbles. From there, it's table service at a private bar, meaning you can stay put and have drinks brought to you rather than queuing up. There's also a cloakroom on hand, so you can leave your coat and bag behind and not worry about them during the show.
If you're planning on a drink at the interval, there's a bit of a perk there too: you get 10% off interval treats when you pre-order them through your host, so they're waiting for you when you come out of the auditorium. It's designed for anyone who wants a more elevated way to spend the lead-up to a show, turning a quick drink into a proper pre-theatre ritual.

It's available across various show dates, with the listing running through Saturday 31 October 2026, so you can add it to a performance on a Saturday night or a weekday matinee. It costs £15 per person, and you'll find it at Nottingham Playhouse on Wellington Circus, NG1 5AF.
