Live solo performance and album signing by Julia Jacklin at Rough Trade Nottingham.
Julia Jacklin plays Rough Trade Nottingham on Tuesday 1 December, starting at 6:00 pm. It's a solo live performance, and the night includes a signing afterwards, so you'll get to hear her and then meet her in the same room.
If you're not already familiar, Jacklin is an Australian singer-songwriter known for emotionally direct lyrics and a commanding voice. She's been building a name in independent music since her 2016 debut, Don't Let The Kids Win, followed by Crushing in 2019 and PRE PLEASURE in 2022, which debuted at number two on the ARIA Charts. Along the way she's picked up two ARIA Awards and played headline shows at London's Roundhouse, Melbourne's Forum and Brooklyn Steel, with festival slots at Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Austin City Limits, Pitchfork Music Festival and Laneway. She's shared stages and collaborated with Mitski, Lana Del Rey, Courtney Barnett and Faye Webster.
This date comes on the back of her first global record deal with 4AD. Her fourth album, The Gem, arrived on 25 September 2026 and is her first for the label. Since she's playing solo here, the set will be stripped back, with her voice and guitar taking the lead rather than a full band. It's a good way to hear the new songs in a more intimate setting, and the signing afterwards means you can get a copy of the record signed while you're there.
