Celebration event closing a week of activity around the Imara Charity Art Sale, with original paintings, sculptures and limited edition prints from local and UK artists.
Imara is holding a charity art sale celebration at the Nottingham Society of Artists on Thursday 29 October, from 6pm to 8pm. It's the final event in a week of activity around the Imara Charity Art Sale, an online silent auction run by the Society of Artists in line with Imara's arts-based approach. Imara is a specialist Nottingham charity (no. 1170331) that supports children, young people and their families following a disclosure or discovery of child sexual abuse and domestic abuse, and every pound raised goes towards those services.
The art is donated by professional and local artists from across Nottinghamshire and the UK, and the sale brings together original paintings, small sculptures and high-quality limited edition prints. Bidding opened on 10 October and runs until midnight on 1 November, so you've got a good window to place your bids before the deadline. If you'd rather see the work in person, there's a gallery viewing week at Friar Lane from 26 October to 1 November, and a print sale at Broadway Gallery on the opening day. Workshops run alongside the sale throughout the week, too. Once the bidding closes, the highest bidders are contacted to arrange payment and collection or delivery of their artwork.

The celebration event on the 29th is the wrap-up to it all, held at the Nottingham Society of Artists, 71 Friar Lane, Nottingham NG1 6DH, from 6pm to 8pm. It's a chance to see the work and the people behind it in the same room, and to support a local charity that does some very heavy lifting for families in the city.
