Free-entry Winter Wonderland with a public ice rink and the unique Sky Skate suspended ice trail over Old Market Square.
Nottingham Winter Wonderland returns to Old Market Square from Thursday 12 November to Thursday 31 December, closed on Christmas Day. The ice skating is the main draw: there's the main rink and the Sky Skate Path, the city's suspended ice trail that carries you above the square and the Christmas Market below. The whole thing is run by The Mellors Group, who add a dedicated children's rink with penguin skate aids for the littlest ones.
Around the skating, the square fills up with an observation wheel, a Christmas Market, and an Ice Bar that comes back with a new theme for 2026. A live host stands at the centre of the event alongside live DJs, tribute acts and themed nights, and there's the chance to meet Father Christmas. If you're not in the mood for the outdoors, the National Ice Centre in the Lace Market runs public skating sessions every week of the year.

Entry to the event itself is free, though skating is ticketed. The 2026 skating prices aren't published yet, so you'll need to check closer to the date for those. The event runs from 12 November through to New Year's Eve, except for Christmas Day, at Old Market Square, NG1 2BY.
