Live gig with Ian Francis Keye & Seymour Glass, Marc Matter, Feghoots and Vicky Sparrow at Primary.
Ian Francis Keye & Seymour Glass are playing Primary on Thursday 29 October, with Marc Matter, Feghoots and Vicky Sparrow on the bill as well. It's a full night of music, with Keye and Glass taking the main slot.
If you're not familiar with them, Seymour Glass is a band with an eclectic sound that pulls from a few different places. They come out of the local hardcore scene, but their influences stretch well beyond that, with Radiohead and Deftones both in the mix. That combination—hardcore roots meeting the more melodic, atmospheric side of alternative rock—gives you a good sense of where they sit: loud and heavy enough to hold their own, but with a melodic streak that keeps it from being one-note. It's the kind of sound that works just as well in a small room as it does on a bigger stage.
They aren't the only ones on the night, though. Marc Matter, Feghoots and Vicky Sparrow are all on the bill, so there's plenty to hear before the main act takes over. With four names across the evening, it's a proper night of music rather than just a single set, and you'll get a fair spread of different sounds before the night wraps up.
