Hockley Hustle: The Angel Microbrewery - Chapel

Hockley Hustle takes over The Angel Microbrewery & The Chapel on Monday 26 October, with a marathon line-up that runs from 12:30 in the afternoon right through to 2:00 the next morning. It's presented by I'm Not From London, and a single Hockley Hustle wristband gets you into all the venues on the circuit, so you can drift between this and the other stages across the city.

The day starts at 12:30 with Kintsugu, a violin and poetry experience, followed by Standing Order at 1:30 and Divulge at 2:30. Kee takes over at 3:30, and The Yons follow at 4:30. The Yons are a guitar-driven alt pop/rock band formed in Nottingham in 1987 out of Paint The Orange and The Steve Shaw Contingent; they reunited in 2017 and released their debut album, Watch and Clock, in May 2025. Stone Black Witches come from Retford, Nottinghamshire, fronted by vocalist and guitarist Brian James, and they take the stage at 5:30.

The evening keeps moving with Small Town Politics at 6:30, Imaginary Friends at 7:30, Poundland at 8:30, and Pearl River Band at 9:30. Jahrel JP & The Future Listen play at 10:30, followed by Karl Who at 11:00. The late slots go to Omen Breaks b2b Omnirhythm at 11:30, Wigsplitta at 12:15, and Shan-D at 1:00.

The Angel Microbrewery & The Chapel is a landmark pub on Stoney Street that's been there since around 1600. The main bar is downstairs, with Angel Ales brewed on site, homemade food, a hidden beer garden and a rooftop terrace. The Chapel gig room upstairs has its own history: since the 1980s it's been known for rowdy rock and roll and for early shows by Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Sleaford Mods. Tickets are £20, and the music runs from 12:30 to 2:00.
