Groove Garden club night of house, UKG and breaks with selectors ODF and Casnova at Rescue Rooms.
Groove Garden x Stealth are taking over Rescue Rooms on Friday 6 November, with ODF and Casnova leading the bill. It's a club night rather than a standard gig, and the line-up is listed as ODF, Casnova and friends, so there'll be more names on the night than just the two headliners.
They describe the night as house, UKG and breaks, and the whole thing is built around bringing established selectors and emerging talent onto the same floor. If you're not familiar with the terms, house is the four-to-the-floor club sound, UKG is UK garage — the syncopated, bassy stuff that's been a staple of the UK scene for decades — and breaks are the broken beats that lean into a more fractured, dancefloor-focused energy. The three styles overlap a lot, so you're likely to hear them bleed into one another over the course of the night.
It's a long one, too: 22:00 to 04:00, which gives the night plenty of room to stretch out. The early hours are when the breaks and garage usually take over, so if you're after the heavier side of things, you might want to aim for the later half. The venue is Rescue Rooms, 25 Goldsmith St, NG1 5JT, right in the city centre.

Tickets are £4 to £6, so it's a cheap one to get into. Doors open at 22:00 and it runs through until 04:00, with ODF, Casnova and friends on the decks.
