Scottish indie folk outfit Stornoway play the Rescue Rooms on Goldsmith Street, with support from Alice Boyd, on the Beyonder Tour.
Stornoway play Rescue Rooms on Wednesday 28 October, as part of their Beyonder Tour. The Scottish indie folk outfit is known for thoughtful songwriting and engaging live performances, and this is one of the dates they're taking the new material on the road.
The tour follows their most ambitious album yet, which came out on 25 September on Cooking Vinyl. They describe the record as being born from isolation and exploration, and say it channels the powers of the natural world to reconnect people with nature. It's a band that works at the intersection of music and conservation, and that thread runs through the new songs. The lead single is 'Marco Polo', which frontman Brian Briggs calls 'the one I've been trying to write my whole life'.
Supporting them on the night is Alice Boyd. The whole thing is part of the Beyonder Tour, so you'll hear the new record alongside the songs that have built their reputation over the years.
