GHØSTKID, the new metal project of former Eskimo Callboy member Sebastian 'Sushi' Biesler, plays The Rescue Rooms.
GHØSTKID are playing The Rescue Rooms on Friday 23 October, with doors opening at 6:30pm. It's a Nottingham date on a run that's seen them working their way across Europe and beyond.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, the project comes from Sebastian 'Sushi' Biesler, formerly of Eskimo Callboy. This is his move away from the over-the-top electro-metalcore of his previous band and towards a more serious, modern, and progressive take on metal. The debut LP is packed with mosh-ready riffs and hooks in the vein of Bring Me The Horizon, so if that's your speed, you've got a good idea of what to expect.
He didn't go it alone on the record. The band emerged in 2024 with Jappo Van Glory and Chris Canterbury on guitar, Stanislaw Czywil on bass, and Steve Joakim on drums, and the album was produced by Sky van Hoff. They've spent the last couple of years cutting their teeth on the road: a European support run, a tour across the USA, a string of European festival dates between June and August, a headlining tour of Central Asia in September, and a first big European headliner tour in the autumn of 2024. This is the live version of that project, and the set will draw from the new material.
