George Gadd & The Aftermath play their folk punk show at The Bodega, with support from Molars and Mexican Dave & The Mariachi Scum.
George Gadd & The Aftermath play The Bodega on Saturday 14 November, with support from Molars and Mexican Dave & The Mariachi Scum. It's a Nottingham musician leading the bill, and the night is open to anyone 14 and over.
If you've not come across them yet, Gadd describes the band's sound as an eclectic hybrid of folk, emo and punk — something they call 'folk punk for punk folk'. The songs are built around heart-on-sleeve singalongs and Gadd's own sense of humour, and he's built a local following around that particular mix. He's also played support slots for The Front Bottoms, Ferocious Dog, Charlie Simpson, Kevin Devine, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. and The Xcerts.
The Bodega is at 23 Pelham Street, and it's been a fixture of the Midlands scene for two and a half decades. It's well known among locals and students as one of the city's best spots to hang out, party and listen to live music, and it's picked up a few awards along the way: Spirit of the Scene at the Music Week Awards 2025 and Grassroots Champion at the Live Awards 2025.
