Comedy panel show in which comedians and celebrities guess what audience members have put in a box, presented by NCF Comedy.
Friz Frizzle brings Whats in the Box to the Cosy Club on Sunday 1 November, with the show presented by NCF Comedy. It's a comedy panel show built around a simple premise: audience members put their personal items into a box, and games are invented on the spot, with a panel of comedians and celebrities figuring out what's inside. The whole thing is improvised, so it changes every night depending on who's in the room and what they've brought with them.
It's not a brand new format, either. Whats in the Box has been a staple of the Edinburgh Fringe and the Leicester Comedy Festival for the past seven years, and it sits in that sweet spot between improv and a proper game show. If you're a fan of Taskmaster or Game Changer, you'll recognise the vibe: comedians thrown into a slightly absurd setup and left to make the best of it. The comedy comes from the panel trying to work out what's in the box, and the games themselves are made up as they go, so the format stays fresh.
