Friz Frizzle: A Certain Appeal

Friz Frizzle brings A Certain Appeal to the Cosy Club on Sunday 8 November, as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival 2026. It's a musical comedy set presented by NCF Comedy, so it fits right into the festival's run of shows across the city.

Frizzle describes himself as a "Songruiner", and that's a fair summary of what he does. Armed with a keyboard tie and a piano, he takes the tunes audiences know and love and messes around with them until they no longer want to know or love them. It's musical comedy that works by taking the familiar and twisting it out of shape, so if you're into that sort of thing, it's right up your street. The show is aimed at fans of musical comedy and anyone tired of having to jump through hoops to appease the DWP.

It's a single-act night, with Friz Frizzle as the main feature. The venue is the Cosy Club, 18 Victoria Street, NG1 2EX, and they've advised that the night is for ages 18 and over, so keep that in mind if you're planning to bring a younger crowd along. Doors open at 5:40pm, and the show starts at 6:00pm, which is an early one for a Sunday evening.

Tickets are £6.00, with a £0.60 booking fee, making it £6.60 in total. It's a low-cost entry, so it's an easy one to drop into if you're already around town for the festival.
