Free in-person tabletop game playtesting session with Break My Game Nottingham for gamers and designers to test and improve their creations.
Break My Game Nottingham is running another free tabletop game playtesting session at ARC Space on Thursday 22 October, starting at 19:00. It's an in-person night for gamers and designers to get their creations on the table and see how they actually play, whether the game is still a rough sketch on the back of an envelope or nearly ready for publication.
The way it works is straightforward: you book either a free Designer Ticket to register your game or a free Playtester Ticket if you're there to help others. If you've got something you're working on, it's a chance to get it in front of people and hear what works and what doesn't; if you're just coming to play, you'll get to try out a few different things in one evening. The organiser also runs an online community on Discord and is part of The Pastel Project, so there's a wider group to connect with beyond the night itself.
The venue is ARC Space Nottingham, a community-focused coworking space in the city centre. It's located in the Laceworks Bar on Western Street, NG1 3AZ, and occupies a former lace factory—the whole place was designed, built and managed by a resident team of architects, so it's a bit more than your average office space. It's a good spot to spend an evening if you're into the tabletop scene.
