Family Christmas 5K run or walk along the river with a race village at the Trent Navigation, raising money for the Footprints Conductive Education Centre.
Footprints in the Snow 5K returns to the Trent Navigation Inn on Sunday 20 December, the second edition of DOrunning's Christmas run. It's a 5k that works as a run or a walk, open to the whole family, and it falls on one of the shortest days of the year. The route is a signposted course along the river, with the race village set up inside the Big Shed at the Trent Navigation. There's a two-and-a-half-hour time limit, so it's as much about getting yourself around as it is about the clock.
Every entry goes to Footprints Conductive Education Centre, a Nottingham charity that supports babies and children across the East Midlands living with mobility and communication difficulties. They help them develop everyday skills and build confidence through specialist Conductive Education programmes. There's also food collected on the day for the Bestwood and Bulwell Food Bank, so it's a double-win for the city.
On the day, you'll get an event t-shirt, a festive medal, a goody bag and a mince pie. The first three male and female finishers take home individual prizes and trophies. If you can't make it in person, there's a virtual option you can sign up for instead.
