Beginner-friendly glow-in-the-dark dodgeball session for women, trans and non-binary University of Nottingham students, part of UoN Empower Week.
Empower x Glow in the Dark Dodgeball is at Jubilee Sports Centre on Friday 23 October, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. It's a UV-style dodgeball session played with glow-in-the-dark balls and face paint, so the whole thing happens under blacklight rather than the usual bright sports hall glare. The session is part of UoN Empower Week, a programme run by University of Nottingham Sport that opens up a beginner-friendly, judgement-free space for women, trans and non-binary students to try a new sport, lift weights and meet new people.
Because it's part of a wider programme, there's a bit more to it than just one hour of dodgeball. If you attend one event during the week, you get a free Empower tote bag; if you make it to three, you get a free Empower t-shirt. There is one catch: you'll need to complete a feedback form to take part. The session itself is free to attend, and it runs in Studio 1 at the centre, which is at 7301 Wollaton Road, Lenton, NG8 1BB.

It's worth noting that the session is already sold out, so if you're not on the list, you won't be getting in this time. If you've got your spot, just head to Jubilee Sports Centre on Friday evening for an hour of glow-in-the-dark dodgeball from 7:30pm.
