Dungeons & Dragons - Stranger Things - One-Shot

The Dice Box Nottingham is running a Stranger Things themed Dungeons & Dragons one-shot on Thursday 29 October, from 7pm to 10pm, with doors open from 6:45pm. It's a single session, so you're in and out in one night rather than committing to a long-running campaign.

The session drops you into the D&D worlds explored by the Stranger Things characters, with an adventuring party set in Hawkins, 1986, where a group of high school teens meet to tell stories and defeat a great evil. You'll take on one of the roles from the show: Lady Applejack, Nog the Dwarf, Sundar the Bold, Tayr the Paladin, or Will the Wise. It's pitched at new and seasoned players alike, run by a friendly DM who encourages questions and collaboration rather than demanding prior experience, so it works whether you've never touched a d20 or you've been playing for years.

One of the best bits is that you don't need to bring a thing — no character sheet required, and nothing else is needed to join in. The TTRPG Nights are for adults only, though there are separate sessions for under-18s, under-16s, and pre-teens, so the adult one stays firmly in that bracket. Tickets were £11.55, but the session is now sold out and they're non-refundable.

If you're looking for the place, The Dice Box Nottingham is at Unit 1 Sneinton Market, Nelson Street, Nottingham NG1 1DR. It's a proper gaming hub, so it's the right kind of room for a night like this.
