Actor Damian Lewis plays his Rescue Rooms show on Goldsmith Street, headlining the Sweet Chaos UK Tour with support from Isaac Bloomfield.
Damian Lewis plays Rescue Rooms on Sunday 18 October, part of his Sweet Chaos UK tour. He's supported by Isaac Bloomfield.
Most of us know him as the actor — a BAFTA, Emmy, and Golden Globe winner — but this is him as a musician. He released his debut album, Mission Creep, in 2023, a rootsy, rock-and-jazz-tinged record that drew on his early life. After leaving school, he swapped a rigid routine for busking across continental Europe with his guitar, an experience that stayed with him. Acting took over, but during lockdown he returned to playing and writing, inspired by meeting American jazz musician Giacomo Smith, who introduced him to the Kansas Smitty's House Band. They formed a band fronted by Lewis, and a festival appearance at Wilderness led to more live shows: packed nights at London's Omeara, Koko, the Tabernacle and Hoxton Hall, and festival dates at Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Black Deer, with a headline show at London's Union Chapel. He's also played Latitude, Wilderness, Black Deer and the EFG London Jazz Festival.
Sweet Chaos follows two years later, bolder and broader; Lewis called it angrier than the first. The show is 14+.
