Live show by Chappaqua Wrestling, the indie rock band from Manchester, at The Bodega in Nottingham.
Chappaqua Wrestling play The Bodega on Thursday 29 October, with the night starting at 7:00 pm. It's a headline show, so they're the only act on the bill.
If you haven't come across them before, they're a band that started in Manchester back in late 2017, fronted by songwriters Charlie Woods and Jake Macleod. After moving back south, they grew into the five-piece they are now, with Jude Lilley, John-Paul Townsend and Coco Varda joining the fold. These days they live and work in South London, though they've spent a fair bit of time on the road since those early days.
They've picked up some decent support from the radio, too. BBC Radio 1 and Radio 6 DJs like Annie Mac, Phil Taggart, Steve Lamacq and Radcliffe & Maconie have all championed them, and they've done sessions at Abbey Road and Maida Vale Studios. They've toured widely around the UK, and in January 2020 they played the 4xFar Festival in Coachella Valley, California, supporting Mark Ronson, Kurt Vile and Anderson .Paak.
