Screening of Dominik Moll's French crime drama 'Case 137', with Léa Drucker, about a police officer investigating a gilets jaunes protest injury.
Case 137 is playing at Broadway Cinema this week, with the first screening on Sunday 18 October. It's a French film directed by Dominik Moll, and it runs for 115 minutes. It's in French with English subtitles, so you'll be reading as much as listening.
The story is set against the mass protests in Paris, and it follows an internal affairs police officer investigating a man who was seriously injured by police gunfire during a tense gilets jaunes demonstration. Even with no hard evidence of illegal police action, the case becomes personal when she learns the victim is from her own hometown. Léa Drucker leads the cast, alongside Jonathan Turnbull and Mathilde Roehrich. It's rated 12A, so it's fine for a younger crowd as long as they're over twelve.
