Live show and album signing by indie artist Caroline Rose at Rough Trade Nottingham, marking the release of 'Gentling the Horse at the Walt Whitman Mall'.
Caroline Rose plays Rough Trade Nottingham on Sunday 1 November, starting at 6:00 pm. It's a live show that doubles as a signing around the release of Gentling the Horse at the Walt Whitman Mall, which came out on 23 October 2026. The album also marks the debut of SUCK records, Rose's own LA-based imprint.
Rose is an indie artist from Center Moriches, New York, whose work resists settling into one shape. Gentling the Horse at the Walt Whitman Mall was produced with John Congleton and pairs sharply observed, memoiristic songwriting with expansive guitar textures. The songs run the gamut from menace to slapstick, with 'Chow Mein' and 'Cement Head' as two of the tracks. Over the last six years, Rose's music has evolved alongside their organising around stronger labour protections and collective bargaining rights for musicians and crews.
