Inclusive Christmas charity fun run and walk around Bulwell, open to all ages and abilities, with participants encouraged to dress as Santa, an elf or a reindeer.
The Bulwell Santa Run is back on Sunday 6 December, starting at 10am from the Bulwell Community Toy Library (NG6 8GG). It's a charity fun run around Bulwell, and as the name suggests, it's all about the Christmas spirit rather than the clock.
Runspire Together, the Nottingham charity behind it, describes it as a feel-good community event built for all ages and abilities. You can run, walk or Nordic walk at your own pace, with no pressure to be fast and no one left behind. It's as much a social morning as it is a run, and dogs are welcome too. Everyone who completes the course gets a finisher's medal to take home.
There's a dress code if you're into it: participants are encouraged to turn up as Santa, an elf or a reindeer, though you're just as welcome to come as you are. It's a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to Runspire Together and The Toy Library. A previous edition drew more than 120 people and raised £300 for the charity, so it's one of those mornings where the numbers on the day translate directly into support for the local community.
