Live show by the slacker twang quartet Brown Horse, with special guests Neve Cariad and Ok, Lady, at The Bodega.
Brown Horse play The Bodega on Wednesday 21 October, their first headline show here since their last run of dates. They're a British slacker twang quartet, and this one sees them back with a full rockin' band sound. It follows a pared-back UK tour supporting Courtney Marie Andrews, so if you caught them in that stripped-back mode, this is the louder, fuller version.
They're touring their new album, Total Dive, which comes out on 10 April on Loose Music. The latest single, 'Wreck', is the third and final one from the record, and the band describes it as an anthemic country-rock track built from world-weary electric guitars and pedal steel. They say it was inspired by an ill-fated drive through the abandoned gas stations and byways of rural Norfolk — that kind of desolate, open-road imagery sits right at the heart of the song.
They aren't the only ones on the bill. Neve Cariad and Ok, Lady are both on as special guests, so there's a full night of music rather than just the one set. It's an over-14s night, which is worth keeping in mind if you're bringing anyone younger.
