In-person game night of the social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower, run by Pen and Board with the beginner-friendly 'Trouble Brewing' script.
Blood on the Barley brings Blood on the Clocktower to Barley Twist on Wednesday 21 October, from 7:30pm to 10pm. It's a social deduction game that asks you to lie, deceive, and figure out who's lying back, and it's run by Pen and Board.
If you've never played, the basic idea is that everyone gets a secret role, and the game is about figuring out who's who. Some people are good, some are evil, and most of the night is spent talking your way into—or out of—suspicion. The organisers describe it as a night of chaos, fun and secret roles, with the chance to meet new people in a laid-back atmosphere. It's an in-person game, so you'll be sitting around a table with other players, and the room fills up with suspicion and deduction as the game unfolds.
For this date, they're running the Trouble Brewing script, which is described as very beginner-friendly. That makes it a good starting point if you've never played before, but it works for experienced players too. The whole thing is run by Pen and Board, who'll be there to guide you through the rules and keep the game moving.
