Live show by the Irish alternative-grunge band Bleech 9:3, whose music explores addiction, recovery and loss with a raw 1990s sound.
Bleech 9:3 play The Rescue Rooms on Monday 30 November, their first Nottingham date since they formed in 2024. They're an Irish four-piece alternative-grunge band based in London, and the night is built around their own material. The show was moved here from The Bodega, a venue known for its forward-leaning booking and its two secluded outdoor areas.
The band grew out of the meeting of vocalists and guitarists Barry 'Baz' Quinlan and Sam Duffy, who first crossed paths in an Alcoholics Anonymous programme in Dublin. That's the ground their songwriting works from: addiction, recovery and loss, delivered with a raw sound that draws on the 1990s. It's a direct line from where they started to what they're playing.
