Monthly networking gathering for women entrepreneurs and business builders at Nottingham Central Library, with guest speakers and informal networking.
BIPC Women's Network meets at Nottingham Central Library on Thursday 14 January, from 10am to 12pm. It's a monthly gathering for women entrepreneurs and business builders in the city, and this session follows the same pattern as the others: a guest speaker brings some practical insights to the table, with informal networking and a supportive community around it. The network meets on the second Thursday of each month, so if you can't make this one, there's another coming up a few weeks later.
It's a broad tent. The group welcomes everyone from those still working through their first business ideas to people scaling up ventures they've already got running, so you don't need to be at a particular stage to fit in. The guest speakers are there to offer something you can actually use, and the networking is more about chatting with other women in the same boat than working a room.
One of the better things about it is what happens after the main session. You're welcome to stay on for refreshments and optional co-working, so if you've got a to-do list that needs clearing, you can keep at it in the company of others rather than heading straight back to your own desk. It's a good way to turn a morning of networking into a productive day.
