An Evening with John Torode and Lisa Faulkner

John Torode and Lisa Faulkner are coming to Waterstones in Nottingham on Monday 16 November, starting at 6:30 PM. The evening is built around the release of John & Lisa's Weeknight Dinners, the second cookery book from the pair.

They first teamed up for ten series of ITV's John & Lisa's Kitchen, and the book follows that same ethos: simple, delicious solutions for weeknight cooking made from everyday supermarket ingredients and straightforward techniques, with no fancy gadgets. It's divided into chapters that cover different parts of the week, including Crowd Pleasers, One-Pan Dishes, Quick Fixes, Friday Night In, Late Night Bites and Something Sweet. The talk itself is followed by an audience Q&A and a book signing, so you'll get to hear them talk through the recipes and then ask your own questions.

If you're not already familiar with them, John Torode is a celebrated chef and Lisa Faulkner is a bestselling cookery writer. They've worked together as a duo for years, and this is their second book as a pair. The whole thing is aimed at the kind of cooking most of us actually do on a Tuesday night—supermarket ingredients and easy methods rather than professional kitchen kit.
