Festive afternoon tea with sandwiches, savouries and desserts served in the Castle's Visitor Centre, as an add-on to a day at Nottingham Castle.
Nottingham Castle is doing a festive afternoon tea on Saturday 19 December, from 12:30 to 13:45, in the Visitor Centre. It's one of a few sessions they're running that weekend, with others on the 12th and 20th, all starting at 12:30.
The tea itself is the main thing here: sandwiches, savouries and festive desserts. It's held in the Visitor Centre, which they'll have decorated for Christmas, and they can cater to allergens and dietary requirements if you let them know when you book. One thing to keep in mind is that the tea is an add-on rather than part of the Castle's general admission. A separate single-entry adult day ticket for the Castle costs £10, and children aged 15 and under go free, up to three children per paying adult. You can upgrade your tea booking to include entry to the Castle, so you don't have to buy the two separately if you want to do both. And if you're planning a full day out with the kids, a separate ticket is needed for Santa's Grotto.

Tickets for the tea are £21.40 for adults (13+) and £16.05 for children aged 2 to 12, both including the booking fee. If you're taking the family, that's the price for the tea alone, and you can add the Castle entry on top if you want to wander the grounds afterwards.
