Free family fitness afternoon with skating, football, basketball and games for all ages and abilities, run by The Outdoor Project and the Community Recording Studio.
Active Families Part 2 is back at the Community Recording Studio on Friday 30 October, running from 12:00 to 16:00. It's a family fun, fitness and community session open to all ages and abilities, so it's one of those afternoons you can bring the whole lot along to.
The session is built around getting families moving together, and there's plenty to pick from. For the active side of things, there's skating, football, basketball and games running throughout. If you're not in the mood for a ball or a board, there are adult classes and wellness activities running alongside, so you can do your own thing while the kids are occupied. It's designed to be something you do as a family rather than just dropping the little ones off.
Two local organisations are running it together: The Outdoor Project and the Community Recording Studio. The studio is the venue as well, so it's all happening under one roof. The whole thing is open to all ages and abilities, which means it doesn't matter if you're a regular at the gym or haven't picked up a football in years — it's more about getting everyone moving together than anything else.
