The Rasmus play Epic Studios in Norwich on the 'Weirdo Tour', supported by Skarlett Riot.
The Rasmus play Epic Studios on Friday 26 February 2027, as part of their Weirdo Tour. They're Finland's most successful rock band, and they've been at it since 1994, when they first stepped on stage at their high school in Helsinki. Along the way they've supported Garbage and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and they hit the UK charts in 2004 with 'In the Shadows'.
The tour is built around their album Weirdo, which frontman Lauri Ylönen says has resonated deeply with fans. He describes the record as being built around the idea of being accepted as you are, and he's noted that audiences have been turning up dressed to show off their inner weirdos. The current single is 'Break These Chains', a toxic love-themed track recorded with Niko Vilhelm of Blind Channel and written with Marti Frederiksen and Desmond Child.
It's a busy run for them. Last summer they headlined the Atlas Festival in Ukraine as the only foreign artist, drawing over 110,000 people and raising more than $2.5 million for the country's air defences. They've also played the European summer festival circuit, including Nova Rock, Resurrection Fest and Masters Of Rock, and have announced a South American tour. Support comes from Skarlett Riot, a British metal band from Scunthorpe whose riff-led songs blend melody and grit.
