A night of short films about the ocean from the Ocean Film Festival World Tour, screening at the UEA.
The Ocean Film Festival comes to UEA on Saturday 14 November, as part of its 2026 world tour. It's a night of ocean-themed short films, and the tour is run by the same team behind the Banff Mountain Film Festival UK & Ireland tour, so it's got that same outdoor-adventure energy. The films themselves cover a lot of ground: seafaring voyages, extreme watersports, marine wildlife, and ocean conservation. You'll see everything from Arctic kelp forests to the waves of California's Mavericks, and the screening runs alongside film exhibitions.
This year is a bit of a milestone for the tour, which is celebrating its tenth edition. Over the last decade, it's reached more than 325,000 people across 14 countries and raised over £20,000 for ocean charities. The 2026 tour is a long one, running across the UK and Ireland from 5 September to 26 November, with the Norwich date falling towards the end of that run.

It's held in Lecture Theatre 1 at the University of East Anglia, NR4 7TJ, and runs from 7:30pm to 10:15pm. Tickets are £18.68, with a concession price of £17.08. You'll need to book in advance, and seating is unreserved, so if you want a particular spot, it's worth getting there a bit early. The venue is hearing loop and wheelchair accessible.
