Free non-profit Christmas market with more than 60 gothic and alternative artists and makers selling handmade, original work.
The NightFair Before Christmas Market returns to St Andrew's Hall on Saturday 19 December, running from 12pm to 5pm. It's the seventh year the market has come to Norwich, and it's a non-profit event that brings together more than 60 gothic and alternative artists and makers under one roof. The whole point is that you buy directly from the people who make the work, so there's no middleman between you and the stall.
What you'll find there is a wide spread of handmade, artist-designed original work. Alternative art, homewares, clothing, gifts, jewellery, soft furnishings, ceramics, candles and entomology art sit alongside taxidermy. It's a broad mix, so you can spend as much time on the ceramics and candles as you do on the more unusual ends of the spectrum. There's a strict rule against AI or mass-produced items, so everything is made by hand rather than turned out in a factory.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Norwich and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a free entry event and it isn't ticketed, so you can just turn up whenever suits you between midday and five. Children are welcome under careful adult supervision, and dogs aren't permitted except for Guide and Assistance Dogs. That puts the practicals in one place: St Andrew's Hall, St Andrew's Plain, NR3 1AU, Saturday 19 December, 12pm to 5pm, free entry.
