Hillbilly folk and bluegrass act The Hillbilly Goats Gruff play The Halls on St Andrew's Plain at the Norwich Beer Festival.
The Hillbilly Goats Gruff are playing at The Halls on Thursday 29 October, as part of the Norwich Beer Festival. They're a Norfolk County hillbilly and skiffle band, and this is a live set right in the middle of the festival.
Their repertoire runs from traditional bluegrass and country through to modern rock and pop, all played in a fun, energetic, rustic style on traditional Americana instrumentation: double bass, acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle and percussion, with a whole lot of singing. It's a broad reach for one set, so you'll hear things from both ends of the songbook in a single evening.
They've been playing festivals across the UK, including Wildfest 2024, the Wymondham Beer Festival 2025, Rockstock in Overstrand 2025 and The Reindeer in Norwich 2025. This puts them back in the city, this time as part of the beer festival line-up.
