A nostalgic, feel-good festive singalong with James B Partridge bringing childhood Christmases back to life.
James B Partridge brings The Big Christmas Assembly to The Halls on Friday 27 November, with the show starting at 7:45pm. It's a festive singalong built around the kind of songs that take you straight back to primary school Christmases, and it's the sort of thing that works best when you're singing along with the room.
Partridge describes the night as a nostalgic, feel-good singalong packed with festive classics, throwback mashups and laugh-out-loud stories. The whole thing started as playful performances for his own pupils and has since grown into a nationwide show, built on TikTok fame and closing the field at Glastonbury Festival. He's a singing teacher who regularly performs across the UK and Europe, and the school-assembly format is where he's most at home.
Beyond the stage, he's a familiar face on the BBC, having appeared on BBC Breakfast, CBBC Newsround, The One Show and Songs of Praise, and performed live on Jeremy Vine's BBC Radio 2 show. He's also been on Virgin Radio and Loose Women. His online videos, which centre on nostalgic primary school tunes and music education, have been written about in The Independent and Buzzfeed and featured in plenty of podcasts. As a content creator, he's partnered with the BBC Proms, Nordoff Robbins, TikTok, the Royal Albert Hall, the MiXiT app, Maidwell Marketing and Wicked the Musical.
