Skaface UK

Skaface UK are playing The Brickmakers on Sunday 25 October, from 15:00 to 18:00. It's an afternoon session, so you'll be home well before the Sunday night slump sets in. The band is organising the show themselves, which is always a good sign — they're the ones calling the shots on the day.

Skaface UK is a long-established seven-piece ska, reggae and 2-Tone band. They describe themselves as a high-energy live act, and the set list makes it clear where they're drawing from: The Specials, Madness, The Clash and more. If those names ring a bell, you've got a good idea of what to expect. It's the kind of music that's built for a live room, and with seven people on stage, there's plenty of sound to fill it.

They're playing in the main room at The Brickmakers, which is one of Norwich's most iconic venues. It's a bit of a multi-tasker: the main room is mostly home to local covers bands and usually works on free entry; the B2 room is a grassroots space for up-and-coming acts from across the country, leaning towards metal and rock but also taking in pop, punk and folk; and there's an outside stage used during the summer. This one falls into the main room's usual territory.

It's free entry, so there's nothing to pay upfront. The set runs from 15:00 to 18:00 on Sunday 25 October, at The Brickmakers, 496 Sprowston Road, Norwich, NR3 4DY.
