An 18-minute screening of short films about nature and the outdoors, part of the Norwich Film Festival 2026 programme.
Shorts for the Planet screens at Cinema City on Friday 13 November, part of the Norwich Film Festival's short film programme. This year the festival has curated 136 shortlisted films into 21 themed screenings at Cinema City between 6 and 15 November, many of them followed by Q&As with the filmmakers.
This particular collection focuses on the beauty of the outdoors and our connection to the natural world, with the films reflecting on the ways we shape, experience and protect the environments around us. The line-up brings together six shorts: Beautiful Birds, Green Grass, Paradise, TAMASHI, The Wetland and We Are Nature. Together they run for 18 minutes, so it's a brief, focused session rather than a full afternoon of cinema.
It's worth noting a couple of practicals before you head in. The screening carries an advisory rating of 18, and there are no adverts or trailers beforehand, so the films start right away. Seating is unallocated, with limited wheelchair spaces available.
