The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra turns iconic pop songs like 'Hallelujah', 'Fix You' and 'Fields of Gold' into symphonic pieces.
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra bring Pop Goes Classical to St Andrew's Hall on Friday 13 November, taking orchestral versions of well-known pop songs and putting them on stage. The arrangements come from the producers of the Classic FM album Pop Goes Classical, and the set moves from ballads to anthems, turning them into symphonic pieces.
Among the songs they'll be reimagining are 'Hallelujah', 'Fix You' and 'Fields of Gold'. The range runs from the ballads of Ed Sheeran and John Legend to the anthems of Coldplay, U2 and Oasis, so you'll hear a fair bit of ground covered in one evening. The whole thing is presented by Morgan Pochin Music Productions Ltd.
