Damp Matches return to the Arts Centre stage to celebrate a new mystery single, with support from Lifejacket and Dog At The Opera.
Damp Matches return to the Norwich Arts Centre on Friday 13 November, with PONY UP presenting the night. They're coming back to the Arts Centre stage to celebrate a brand new mystery single, and if you've been following them, there's a bit of a hook to it: they're billing the song as a departure from their tried-and-tested sound. It's a never-before-heard track, so the room will be hearing it for the first time along with everyone else.
It's been a year since they put out their debut album in November 2025, and this feels like the next step. The mystery single is the centre of the night, and the band are framing it as something that steps away from the sound they've built up so far, so it should be an interesting one to hear live before it's out in the wild.
They've got two support acts on the bill. Lifejacket are effervescent pop-punk upstarts who bring candid lyricism and energising garage rock, and this is their first time playing the Arts Centre. Dog At The Opera is a different kind of project: an experimental passion project from several already-established local musicians that blends nostalgic 90s indie with atmospheric shoegaze and a smattering of modern heaviness. Between the two, you've got pop-punk and shoegaze warming up the room before Damp Matches take over.

It's a standing event, so you'll be on your feet for the night. The venue opens at 7pm, and the music kicks off at 8pm. Tickets are £12 on the concourse, but NAC supporters save between £1.50 and £3.50+ per ticket and get 10% off the bar. And if you're under 26, it's free.
