Double headlining night of grunge tributes with NIRVANHER, a female-fronted Nirvana tribute, and HELL IS IN CHAINS, a female-fronted Alice in Chains tribute.
NIRVANHER and HELL IS IN CHAINS share the stage at The Brickmakers on Friday 4 December, a double-header that brings two of the biggest names in grunge to the same night. Both are female-fronted tribute bands: NIRVANHER on Nirvana and Hell is in Chains on Alice in Chains. Rather than one opening for the other, they're billed as a double headliner, so you get a full set from each.
NIRVANHER are based in and around London and describe themselves as injecting fresh and powerful energy into Nirvana's music, with each member drawing on their own background and experience to build a dynamic homage to one of grunge's most influential bands. Hell is in Chains bring the same approach to Alice in Chains, so the night covers two of the defining sounds of the early nineties in one go.
The evening is presented by Searchlight Promotions and POWer Promotions, and they've put some thought into the room as well as the music. The stage is set with rain-soaked visuals, candlelit darkness and cinematic projections, so it's not just the bands on display. It's an over-14s night, with under-16s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
