Free tribute show by Maiden Anglia, East Anglia's Iron Maiden tribute act, at The Brickmakers on Sprowston Road.
Maiden Anglia bring their Iron Maiden tribute to The Brickmakers on Sunday 22 November, with the show running from 15:00 to 18:00. They're billed as East Anglia's premier Iron Maiden tribute act, and this is a proper afternoon session rather than a late-night one, so it's one you can get to and be home from well before dinner.
It's a single-act bill, with Maiden Anglia taking the full slot. If you're familiar with the band they're paying tribute to, you'll have a good idea of what to expect: the galloping bass, the twin-guitar harmonies, and the theatrical delivery that's defined Iron Maiden's sound since the late seventies. As a tribute act, they're out to recreate that specific energy and repertoire for a local crowd.
The show is at The Brickmakers on Sprowston Road, one of Norwich's most recognisable venues. It's a bit of a multi-tasker, working across three different spaces: the main room, which is mostly home to local covers bands and usually free entry; the B2 venue, a grassroots space for up-and-coming acts across metal, rock, pop, punk and folk; and an outside stage used during the summer. This one is in the main room, which fits the bill for a tribute act like this.
