Night showcasing local talent hosted by Pete Turrell at The Brickmakers, with pay on the door.
Live n Unsigned returns to The Brickmakers on Wednesday 4 November, hosted by Pete Turrell. It's a showcase night for local talent, with a bill of Norwich acts performing live in front of a home crowd.
If you're not familiar with the venue, The Brickmakers is one of the city's most established spots, and it runs on three stages. The main stage mostly hosts local covers bands and usually keeps entry free. The B2 room is a grassroots space for up-and-coming acts from across the country, leaning towards metal and rock but also welcoming pop, punk and folk. Then there's the outside stage, which comes out during the summer. The venue puts on a wide range of nights, from tribute acts and open mic sessions to music quizzes and a blues society.
Live n Unsigned sits on the grassroots side of things. It's billed as a one-of-a-kind night that puts local talent centre stage, with everything performed live rather than backed by tracks. It's Pete Turrell's night, and the focus is on giving local musicians a proper slot in front of a Norwich audience.
