Live rock show by York band King No-One, with The Portland, at Voodoo Daddys Showroom.
King No-One play Voodoo Daddys Showroom on Thursday 22 October, with The Portland supporting. It's a three-piece from York — vocalist and lyricist Zach Lount, guitarist Joe Martin and bassist Rob Gration — who cut their teeth busking on chilly city pavements before building a following across Europe, particularly in Germany, Czechia and Austria.
They've built their sound on glistening guitar riffs, punchy rhythms and poetic narratives, drawing on individuality and social consciousness. Their live shows are described as high-octane, equal parts theatrical and raw. 2026 is their breakthrough year: they released their debut album, The Burden of Empathy, at the end of April, which was preceded by five singles. That's the material they're touring now, so you'll hear the new record in full.
