Stand-up show by Kemah Bob, whose previous show made The Guardian's 10 Best Comedy Shows of 2024, about chaotic childhood parenting.
Kemah Bob brings her new show, Love Child, to Norwich Theatre Stage Two on Sunday 4 April 2027. It's her second hour, and it's directed by Alison Spittle.
Bob is returning to the stage with a bit of a reputation behind her. Her previous show made The Guardian's 10 Best Comedy Shows of 2024, and in that same year she was nominated for an ISH Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. Since then, she's been popping up on TV: QI, Richard Osman's House of Games, Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club, Comedy Central Live, Don't Hate The Playaz, and Guessable. If you've only heard her on the Off Menu podcast, this is a good chance to see her doing a full hour of her own.
As for the show itself, she describes Love Child as an unhinged tour through chaotic childhood parenting, epigenetic baggage, VHS nostalgia, and the struggle of trying to be a 'Good Grown Up™'. It's billed as intimate yet rowdy, high-energy stand-up, and it's playing in Stage Two, which is known for the up-close, personal vibe that works so well for comedy. The age recommendation is 16+.
