The 10th edition of Keeping Abreast's fashion show, with more than 30 breast cancer survivors on the runway wearing fashion from Jarrolds, Marks and Spencer, Scarlet, Elora and Snoop Boutique.
Keeping Abreast are back with their tenth 'More than just Fashion' show, running over two nights at Creative Quarter Over the Water on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 October. It's a milestone edition for the Norfolk-based charity, and it's a bit more than a fashion show: they describe it as a celebration of resilience, strength and community.
The thing that sets it apart is who's on the catwalk. More than 30 models walk the runway, all of them real people who have undergone breast reconstruction surgery following a breast cancer diagnosis or the discovery of a hereditary breast cancer gene. They're there to champion female empowerment and support for others who've been through it. The clothes they wear mix high-street names with independent labels — Jarrolds, Marks and Spencer, Scarlet, Elora and Snoop Boutique are all represented — and the evening finishes with music and dancing.
Chris Page from ITV Anglia and Sascha Williams, formerly of ITV, present the show, with the whole thing choreographed by Stephen Knights. The charity is supported by Titan Wealth, Pilgrim Foods, Insurance With and Store Galore.
