NNOS brings its high-energy tap-dancing spectacular, a romantic comedy set in Nevada with a Gershwin score and a 19-piece orchestra.
NNOS are back at Norwich Theatre Royal from 26 to 30 January 2027 with Crazy For You, a tap-dancing romantic comedy. It's their first return to the Theatre Royal since Carousel, and it follows their previous Norwich runs of Singin' in the Rain and Les Misérables.
The story is set in Deadrock, Nevada. Bobby Child, a big-city banker, arrives in town to shut down the local theatre, but he ends up falling for Polly Baker, the owner's daughter. From there he hatches a madcap plan to win her heart and save the venue, and the whole thing is built around a George and Ira Gershwin score. You'll recognise the songs: 'I Got Rhythm', 'Someone to Watch Over Me', 'Nice Work If You Can Get It' and 'They Can't Take That Away from Me' are all in there, and they're performed with a full 19-piece orchestra. It's a tap-dancing spectacular, so expect a fair bit of footwork on stage.
NNOS is the company behind it, with Adam Haigh directing and choreographing. If you've seen their previous work, you'll know they lean into the big, musical side of things, and this fits that mould.
