Stand-up show by Josh Pugh, presented by Norwich Arts Centre at EPIC Studios, for ages 14 and over.
Josh Pugh is back on stage at EPIC Studios on Thursday 5 November, with Ha Ha, Yeah Sound presented by Norwich Arts Centre. It's a full hour and a bit of stand-up, and it comes after two sell-out tours, so he's returning with a fair bit of momentum behind him.
If you haven't come across him yet, Pugh built his following on television. He's appeared on Live at the Apollo, Big Fat Quiz of Everything, Mock the Week, Would I Lie to You, The Last Leg, Match of the Day X and Head Judge on the BBC, as well as Hypothetical on Dave. He also picked up a BBC New Comedy Award. Beyond the TV work, his weekly viral videos have made him a familiar face online, so there's a good chance you've seen a clip of him without knowing exactly where it came from.
Critics have a couple of ways of describing what he does. The Guardian called him 'deceptively clever', while The Wee Review went for 'pub-grub comedy served up with cordon-bleu flare' — a bit of a mixed metaphor, but it gives you the gist. Rolling Stone was more direct, naming him 'a must-see stand up'.
