Stand-up show by Irish comedian Emma Doran about the trials and tribulations of her blended family.
Emma Doran brings her stand-up show Emmaculate to the Norwich Theatre Playhouse on Tuesday 9 March 2027. It's a full evening of comedy, running about two hours with an interval, and it's recommended for ages 14 and over.
The show centres on the trials and tribulations of her blended family. Doran describes it as witty and rambunctious, packed with razor-sharp observations, riotous on-stage antics and conspiratorial gossipmongering. If you've seen her work before, that's the kind of energy she's bringing to the stage here: family life turned into a comedy set.
For those who don't know her, Doran is an Irish stand-up comedian, best-selling author, podcast host and viral online star. She's a regular on RTÉ, with appearances on No Worries If Not!, The Tommy Tiernan Show, The Late Late Show, Bridget and Eamon and Callan Kicks, and she hosted LOL: Last One Laughing on Prime Video with Graham Norton. Her podcasting is just as active: You're Grounded with her daughter Ella, And Another Thing! with Muireann O'Connell, and the four-part series Mischief Makers. She also co-hosts Keep It Tight with Deirdre O'Kane.

Beyond the stage and the mic, she's a writer too, having published the best-selling book Mad, Isn't It? in 2024. Emmaculate is the latest chapter in that mix of stand-up, podcasting and writing. The show starts at 7:30 pm at the Playhouse on St Georges Street, with tickets from £20.67.
