Dismara, Hemiptera, Mincer and Trepanation

Dismara headline Dead Wax Social on Saturday 7 November, with Hemiptera, Mincer and Trepanation filling out the bill. It's a four-band night that pulls together melodic crust and grind punk, so it's a long one rather than a quick in-and-out.

Dismara play melodic crust punk driven by the D-beat, a sound the Norwich scene has linked to bands like Fall Of Efrafa, Morrow and Wolfbrigade. If you're familiar with those names, you'll have a good handle on what to expect: fast, driving rhythms and a crusty edge that doesn't quite let go of the melody. Hemiptera, Mincer and Trepanation round out the rest of the evening, so the night stays within the same general territory of melodic crust and grind punk from start to finish.

The whole thing runs from 19:30 to 23:00, with the music taking place upstairs at Dead Wax Social, 18 St Georges Street, NR3 1BA. Tickets are £8 in advance and £10 on the door, and Carrot Goldsmith is the contact for the night.
